Zak Borovay is a multi–award-winning creative director and designer. His projections and media content have been seen in more than a dozen Broadway shows, including the long-running smash hit Rock of Ages. His work spans projection-mapped nighttime spectaculars, live stage shows and festivals for Disney theme parks and Universal Studios, as well as arena concert tours, Las Vegas spectaculars, cruise ships, the Radio City Music Hall Christmas Spectacular, broadcast, opera, dance, corporate events and even the circus!
With over twenty five years of experience, Zak has taught media design at the Yale School of Drama, Emerson College, NYU, and Montclair State University, and has given master classes at universities and trade shows across the country. Zak is a co-host on the popular entertainment technology podcast Light Talk with the Lumen Brothers. He serves as Content Consultant for Live Design’s LDI Expo in Las Vegas and is the Digital Media Commissioner for USITT. In addition, Zak is a formally trained bassist who attended Berklee College of Music and has performed on Broadway and around the world.
