Image Engineering’s

Inflatable Tower Vision

Designed, fabricated and patented in 1996, Image Engineering’s Inflatable Tower Vision (ITV) was the first screen of its kind. With an overall footprint of 110′ wide by 70′ tall and a projection surface of 65′ high x 60′ wide, the ITV was once the largest inflatable screen available anywhere in the world. For close to 10 years the ITV was utilized for graphics laser shows and image projection. Fast forward to 2020 and what’s old is new again! With the resurgence in socially distant and drive-in style events, the ITV once again is a best-in-class screen for all types of outdoor video projection.

About

Applications

This massive inflatable screen, supported by high brightness projection and an incredible crew of technicians, can display whatever content you wish!  Featured films, sporting events, live concert footage, video gaming competitions, or the largest trivia night imaginable can all be projected onto this massive surface. To enhance the experience, we suggest pairing this projection screen with pre-event laser shows to highlight sponsors or to simply provide attendees with an unparalleled event.

The Options

Video projection technology has drastically changed since the ITV was first patented. With the introduction of high definition projection and the standardization of the 16:9 aspect ratio, the ITV screen has been updated to meet this new standard. Currently we are able to offer screen options that allow for a 55’w x 32’h 16:9 viewing area or an even bigger 72’w x 41’h 16:9 viewing area. The Image Team is proud to provide projection options ranging from 20,000 lumens to 40,000 lumens with either a standard lamp or an upgraded laser light engine.

The Success

Image’s latest application of the ITV was for a socially distanced drive-in movie event for our staff.  After months of teleworking and hybrid schedules, we decided it was time to gather (safely). We revitalized the inflatable giant, stitched together a “best-of” graphic laser show, set up a top-notch audio distribution system (both radio and live audio), threw in some moving lights, invited the team and enjoyed a night under the stars watching the feature film.  The Image Engineering Drive-in Movie Night was a great success, with team members, family members, and neighbors all safely in attendance, and finally, together.
