Jay-Z on Saturday Night Live

We use our lasers in a rare SNL moment for Jay-Z’s musical performance.

This is the second time in Saturday Night Live history that lasers were featured for the musical guest. Jay-Z had asked if we’d come in and design a laser display to compliment his lighting rig for his performance. One of the compelling challenges we faced was that the  lasers were going to be bounced off of Jay-Z’s set piece which was a large tiled mirrored wall as featured in the video above. We used the surface to route the beams back through Jay-Z so they terminated on downstage which created a really cool look.
