LA Kings: Sharpy Cage

Having worked with Image Engineering since 2013, the LA Kings knew who to call when they wanted to integrate something trailblazing into an already stellar pregame show.

When asked to push the boundaries, the designers at Image conceptualized surrounding the entire rink with a cage of light. 3D animations and fly throughs in a virtual 3D Staples Center were utilized to show the Kings what could be. Our engineers designed and installed a (114) Sharpy rig with custom trussing to perfectly follow the outline of the rink. The Kings Sharpy cage is the most unique element in NHL entertainment and it is still making waves throughout the league.
