MLB: 2019 Home Run Derby

The Image Engineering team was engaged to reimagine the player introduction effects for the 2019 MLB Home Run Derby. The team decided to utilize effects that could maintain a backdrop as players walked from the dugout to the stage. No matter where the player was the camera would catch effects behind them. 

The team also utilized a layered approach with smaller effects in the infield and larger effects in the outfield. Overall (10) Image Engineering Fire Screens, (4) CO2 Jets, (4) Mega CO2 Jets, (8) Luminous Arena Flames and (4) Image Engineering Water Cannons were used to set the stage for one of baseball’s biggest nights.
