Architectural Lighting Installation

Sioux Falls was originally illuminated by iridium lighting with incandescent lamps that were extremely maintenance intensive. Image Engineering was hired to upgrade and simplify the set up with LED fixtures.

The Image team replaced all of the iridium lights with Color Kinetics LED fixtures to light up the falls and wash them with color. To further elevate the effect, the installation was engineered to run off a CueServer which included integrated programming set to music. The CueServer also integrated walkway lights and flood lights for ease of operation from one main control unit.

For the holidays, Sioux Falls hosts a drive through light sculpture show for the community that is accented by the illuminated falls. The image design team has programmed multiple custom shows that are choreographed to music.
