Spirit of Faith Christian Center

The Spirit of Faith Christian Center, a large-scale ministry with three locations in the DMV area, has been a client of Image Engineering for over fifteen years.

During this time Image has mainly provided support for singular installs and special events. In 2015 SOFCC engaged Image to help reimagine their worship experience, injecting technology and energy into their already powerful church services.

The first project Image assisted with was the installation of LED video displays at each of their locations. Their main campus boasted a 3.9 mm screen measuring 33’L x 13’H, while each satellite campus received 3.9 mm screens measuring 11’L x 6.5’H . Due to the unique size and aspect ratio of their main campus display a coriomaster mini video processor was specified to make full use of the entire pixel canvas.

Image Engineering was next engaged to provide a theatrical lighting upgrade. We built & installed a package of moving lights, LED fixtures, conventional fixtures, LED strip lighting, a hazer and a new lighting console. The design plan was to utilize the moving lights to paint the ceiling and remove the need to use the existing mercury lighting as house lights. The LED fixtures and direct view strip lights were utilized to infuse energy to worship team performances and help set the mood during videos and teaching portions of service.

In early 2017 Image was asked to design a way that the media team could further use the video surfaces to create a stage set. What was developed was a set of two 25’ high arches which begin mid stage and terminate at the ceiling.

Since honing the design at the main campus in Brandywine, MD, we at Image Engineering have just finished installing this same design as the Baltimore campus and we are now beginning work at their final campus on the west side of Washington, D.C., completing the comprehensive and unified installations that address The Spirit of Faith Christian Center’s specific needs.
