The Corn Palace:
Lighting Installation

The lighting on the Corn Palace was initially installed by a different provider. However, The Corn Palace was not satisfied with the coverage or the system operation. Image Engineering was referred to overhaul the control system, provide additional fixtures, and refine programming.

Image replaced the existing control system with a CueServer providing web access control and choreographed show capabilities. The Image integration team also installed additional lighting to provide better coverage to areas of The Corn Palace that weren’t adequately lit. The lighting control system (with integrated dimmer control) was also integrated with their speaker system to provide synchronized lighting and audio playback.

The new lighting and control system have transformed the exterior of The Corn Palace into a dynamic light show that attracts visitors from around the country and has breathed new life into one of South Dakota’s iconic structures.
