PERMANENT INSTALLATIONS

World Trade Center Baltimore: Architectural Lighting

In 2003, Hurricane Isabel barreled up the East Coast causing waters to rise and flood the lighting installation at the base of the World Trade Center in Baltimore.

For the next 15 years, the columns of the iconic Baltimore structure remained out of service. In 2018, Image Engineering was approached to help solve a problem, how to get LED fixtures to light the entirety of the 405’ columns while maintaining a uniformed intensity. With the help of Color Kinetics Reach and Reach Elite Fixtures and custom designed lighting mounts, the Image team was able to deliver an installation that brought light back to the iconic Baltimore structure at the heart of its Inner Harbor.
